olen usealtakin taholta kuullut valitusta, että modernit wc-pytyt eivät huuhdo kunnolla tai että pesukoneet huuhtelevat kehnosti. voisi tietysti syyttää degeneroitunutta tuotekehitystäkin, mutta ystäväni huomautti, että taustalla saattaa olla pätevä syykin. kallis vesi. suomessa on opittu liian hyvälle veden riittävyyden suhteen, mutta monessa muussa maassa vettä, ja huuhteluita, on oikeasti säästettävä. reinin vesikin juodaan ja puhdistetaan monta kertaa matkalla yläjuoksulta mereen. nokialla on jo koeluontoisesti kokeiltu samaa. ok, huono vitsi.

I've heard several people complaining that modern toilets don't flush properly or that washing machines leave the clothes soapy. of course we could blame a retarded r&d, but a friend of mine told me that there could be another reason for this. and it is the price of water. this is a far-fetched thought here in Finland, where there is an abundance of clean water. but this is not the case in many other countries and maybe the toilet and washing machine manufacturers have spotted this trend.
